Apparel sourcing at Texworld USA

Billed as the largest apparel sourcing event in North America, Texworld USA returns to New York this July.

Designers, merchandisers, sourcing professionals and garment buyers will have the opportunity to see apparel fabrics, trims and accessories for children's, women's and menswear, with showcased textiles including cotton, denim, linen and wool.

Texworld USA will be held 12-14 July 2016 at the Javits Convention Center, 655 West 34th Street, New York.

SIWI publishes water-saving findings

The Swedish Textile Water Initiative has published its global results for 2015 which show it has now invested 43.3 MSEK (US$5.34m) across the 300-plus projects that it has helped to implement, with annual cost savings across the textile mills it has worked with of US$4.83m. The initiative also says it trained more than 12,000 people at 72 factories in four countries.

Kering reaffirms committment to EP&L

French luxury, sport and lifestyle brand group, Kering, has published the final report on its wide-reaching 2012-2016 sustainability targets. The update highlights Kering's progress against targets in several areas, including leather-use, operational efficiency, use of precious skins, paper and packaging and PVC, particularly sustainable alternatives to PVC.
