CCC raises concerns over Fairtrade textile standard
As Fairtrade International publishes its new Fairtrade Textile Standard, the Clean Clothes Campaign has raised strong concerns that the standard does not properly address labour rights problems in garment supply chains and may even risk "slowing down progress made in the last few years."

Better Cotton boost in China

Sweden to set up chemical substitution centre
The Swedish government recently visited Swedish clean technology firm OrganoClick, known for its fluorocarbon-free water repellent fabric treatment OrganoTex, to promote its plans to establish a Centre for Chemical Substitution which will help producers and consumers to discard harmful chemicals and source environmentally friendly alternatives.
