ZURICH - Swiss textile testing and certification institute Testex has launched a new microplastics label aimed at helping retailers, brands and manufacturers reduce microplastic emissions from textiles.
Confirming it has also joined the Microfibre Consortium (TMC), Testex said the new label would signify that textiles have undergone rigorous testing to assess and minimise their microplastic emissions. The tests will be conducted in accordance with international standards, including ISO 4484-1:2023 and ISO 4484-2:2023.
