Ecotextile News magazine is the environmental magazine for the global textile and clothing supply chain and is published six times per year as a magazine delivered direct to your door or available in electronic format only. It is published by MCL News & Media and is read by the world's leading clothing brands and retailers and the most forward-thinking textile manufacturers and industry innovators.

Established in 2004, MCL News & Media is the leading media platform for the global textile and apparel industries.

MCL has a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in B2B magazine and on-line publishing, which brings together expert analysis, in-depth comment and the latest news to a range of different industry textile and apparel professionals across the globe.

Our products include the market leading print and on-line magazines: Ecotextile News, Knitting Trade Journal, Sustainable Nonwovens, our new publication for technical textiles: T.EVOThe Green Guide to ITMA and Textile Standards & Legislation.

We also publish market leading reports on environmental issues that impact the textile industry such as Detox Deconstructed which analyses the Greenpeace campaign, the Sustainable Sourcing Map, and more recently Closing the Loop – the first publication to examine how the global textile sector can transform from a liner to a circular business model.

Our expertise in cotton and sustainability is second to none, and we have published two major reports on this subject: The Insider’s Guide to Cotton & Sustainability and most recently, the ground-breaking Cotton Horizons study.

More recently, we have also partnered with the highly respected European Outdoor Group to shortly bring you a new, unique, on-line searchable tool called Textile Standards & Legislation. This was formerly known as the Eco-Textile Labelling Guide and was first produced back in 2008 with the help of Messe Frankfurt, which continues to be one of our valued partner organisations.

Along with Marks & Spencer and The University of Leeds, MCL News & Media was a co-founder of the RITE Group – a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to Reducing the Impact of Textiles on the Environment.

MCL News & Media continues to work in partnership with a number of textile trade and retailer-led organisations such as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the ZDHC Group, and the Sustainable Fashion Academy.

Our UK-based company is young, innovative vibrant and growing – we recently adding the new jobsite Careersintextiles.com to its portfolio.

We are also the brand owner and of the Planet Textiles event on sustainability, which successfully launched in Hong Kong in March 2010 and in 2015 took place in Shanghai, China, alongside the giant Intertextile Shanghai Apparel fabrics event.

We are based in our wholly owned and recently converted eco-friendly offices in Normanton, Yorkshire, UK which is situated at the heart of the northern UK transport network.

MCL New & Media is proud to be a member of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA). EOCA is a not-for-profit organisation funded by a group of businesses involved in the European outdoor industry, which raises funds to put directly into grassroots conservation projects worldwide.
