UTRECHT - The Solidaridad international organisation has published a new paper highlighting adverse working conditions in the global cotton supply chain, including poverty, forced and child labour, and the impact of pesticides on the health and safety of cotton farmers.
The paper, ‘Cotton and Labour’ aims to offer an up-to-date insight into these key problems, putting them into the context of the wider problems facing the industry, and offering recommendations to a variety of stakeholders on how to address them.
