BERLIN – European fashion platform Zalando is now sharing comparable sustainability data from more than 250 partner brands collected through its partnership with the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and the Higg Co.
Zalando became the first retailer to use the SAC's updated version of the Higg Brand & Retail Module (Higg BRM) earlier this year and has made sustainability assessments mandatory for brands selling on its platform.
The company, which has pledged to work only with brands aligned with its ethical standards by 2023, says it has received data from its first cluster of 250 brands in an initial assessment round.
