BERLIN - European online fashion platform Zalando has committed to a net-zero carbon footprint in its own operations, including all deliveries and returns, from today as part of its new sustainability strategy.
Entitled 'do.MORE', the strategy also includes a promise to end the use of single-use plastics in its own packaging by 2023 and for Zalando's own ZIGN label to fully commit to sustainability by next year's spring/summer season.
Co-CEO Rubin Ritter said: “The fashion industry is facing sustainability challenges and we know we have been part of the problem. Going forward, our aspiration is to be part of the solution.
