Billed as the largest apparel sourcing event in North America, Texworld USA returns to New York this July.

Environmental NGO Canopy has said it will talk to senior management at Chinese viscose manufacturer, Tangshen Sanyou, before deciding on a course of action, in response to Ecotextile News' report that US Customs has ordered the detention of all viscose imports from Tangshan Sanyou Group due to concerns over the use of forced labour.

DWR textile finish is renewably sourced

Huntsman Textile Effects has teamed up with Dupont to produce a new, non-fluorinated durable water repellent for textiles and clothing that is said to be the industry's first and only renewably sourced water repellent treatment. It is 63 per cent derived from plant-based, non-GMO raw materials.

Price to fall on CO2 dyed garments
