SAN FRANCISCO - Leading fashion brands will fail to reduce their supply chain emissions in line with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement at current rates, according to a new report.
The Stand.Earth environmental campaign group analysed nine companies — American Eagle Outfitters, Uniqlo owner Fast Retailing, Gap, H&M, Zara owner Inditex, Kering, Lululemon, Levi’s and Nike.
It found that all nine would fail to reduce their supply chain emissions in line with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement if emissions continued to increase at pre-pandemic growth rates.
