The week-long 23rd International Conference for Sustainable Innovation 2021 attracted around 400 delegates from over 25 countries for an online event that put accelerating sustainability in fashion, clothing, sportswear and accessories centre stage.
With speakers lined up from midday through to the early evening, it promised to be something of a marathon but ended up veering into the less charted territory to bring forward research that should reach a wider audience.
A 'hidden' nugget on day six, and perhaps the most sensational piece of concrete news; was that the EU is planning the 'territorialisation' of other products, besides food and wine – and will aim to tie this to sustainability. By Tone Tobiasson.
