WASHINGTON DC – US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is to make changes to the de minimis rules, which can allow the parcels of Chinese-owned online retailers such as Shein and Temu to evade import tariffs and customs checks.

The move comes ahead of next week’s inauguration of President Trump, and is in line with promises to implement tougher trade measures on Chinese goods.
