MADHYA PRADESH - Global brands including Adidas, H&M and Inditex have sourced cotton from Indian farms which employ child and forced labour, according to a report from Transparentem.
An investigation by the US-based NGO into the working conditions on 90 cotton farms in India’s Madhya Pradesh state, between June 2022 and March 2023, found “widespread use of child labour and illegal adolescent labour”.
