NAPA - The Material Innovation Initiative has published a new report calling for fashion brands and textile manufacturers to channel their resources into creating products that match polyester’s performance and versatility, while relying on bio-based, biodegradable and renewable alternatives such as next-gen materials.
The report, ‘Beyond Polyester’, highlights some of the current barriers to the growth and adoption of next-gen materials, and outlines how the fashion and textile industry needs to direct interests to fill these gaps for the benefit of accelerating the entire next-gen materials industry.
