LOS ANGELES / TAIPEI - Taiwanese polyester manufacturer Shinkong Synthetic Fibers has invested $10 million in US recycler Ambercycle as part of a strategic effort to help scale textile-to-textile regeneration in the apparel industry.
The two companies have worked together since 2021 to develop and manufacture filament yarns containing Cycora, the US firm’s circular polyester which is made from post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste.
