DHAKA - A programme launched a decade ago to reduce the environmental impacts of Bangladesh textile and garment factories claims to have saved enough water to meet the needs of 1.9 million people.

The Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) has reportedly helped more than 450 factories to reduce freshwater use by 35 billion litres a year and wastewater discharge by 29 billion litres annually.
