The elusive pursuit of sustainable new materials is unfolding at a pace more tortoise than hare, says Rogier van Mazijk, fund manager at the Textile Innovation Fund, who also believes that while numerous innovation categories have demonstrated significant progress, it is uncertain whether the development of sustainable materials for the textile industry can ever achieve similar momentum.
