COPENHAGEN - US carbon negative textiles pioneer Rubi Laboratories and Danish fashion brand Ganni have unveiled the first fruit of their pilot partnership - a yarn made from carbon emissions that is claimed to be both water and land neutral.
Rubi announced strategic partnerships with Ganni, and also H&M, Patagonia, Reformation and Nuuly, earlier this year with the ambition of creating garments from the US tech company's CO2-based yarn.
Now, Rubi and Ganni have unveiled what they claim to be the first ever yarn samples made directly through a fully enzymatic process from carbon emissions at the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen.
