SAN FRANCISCO - Carbon negative textiles pioneer Rubi Laboratories has announced "initial strategic pilot partnerships" with global brands H&M, Patagonia, Reformation, Ganni and Nuuly.
Rubi, which develops technology to turn carbon emissions into fibres, has also revealed that it has raised another US$8.7 million in a seed funding round led by Talis Capital, alongside Patagonia’s Tin Shed Ventures, the H&M Group, the Collaborative Fund, and Necessary Ventures.
The new investment comes on top of an earlier US$4.5 million seed funding round last year for the company which says it now has the resources to rapidly scale its production process.
