AMSTERDAM – The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) has published a market entry study of Pakistan ahead of the expansion of its farm programme to the country later this year.
The organisation sought the expertise of the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI), based in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, to understand the national organic cotton growers’ challenges and opportunities across the new and existing growing regions.
Ruud Schute, programme director at OCA, commented: “We are excited to begin our foray into a new territory in 2022 and sow the seeds for the future of organic cotton in Pakistan. The findings of the study provided by CABI will inform our next steps as we seek to form vital and long-lasting partnerships with key operational farming organisations and government and agricultural agencies or bodies.”
