ISTANBUL - Danish fashion brand Bestseller has signed an agreement with Turkish NGO ACEV to develop an education programme aimed at empowering women garment workers employed by its suppliers in the country.
Bestseller has historically worked with Indian education provider BSR to deliver similar women's empowerment programmes in Bangladesh, India, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and most recently Pakistan.
However, with BSR not operating in Turkey - which supplies around 15 per cent of Bestseller's stock - the company needed a new partner and selected Istanbul-based ACEV (Mother Child Education Foundation).
