ISTANBUL - Garment manufacturers in Turkey have written to buyers to voice their concerns over the effect that cancelled orders are having on their industry.
The Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association Board (TGSD) is calling for closer collaboration from brands and retailers to help them weather the coronavirus crisis.
It said that global lockdowns had led to retailers and brands taking “alarming actions” with drastic consequences for the 1.5 million people employed in garment manufacturing in the country.
