ISTANBUL - A new report on the plight of Syrian refugees working in Turkey's garment industry says there is an urgent need for brands to act to improve conditions in their supply chains.
Entitled Syrian Workers in Turkey's Garment Industry: Looking Back, Moving Forward, it was written by Temiz Giysi Kampanyasi of the Clean Clothes Campaign.
The report found that refugees routinely faced discrimination in factories where they were expected to work longer hours for less money than their Turkish colleagues.
