WAKEFIELD – Accelerating Circularity has launched a new project based in Europe backed by industry players such as Inditex, Zalando, the European Outdoor Group and German service provider GIZ, among others.
The initiative, which aims to speed up the textile industry’s move from linear to circular ways of working, was first launched in the US supported by the likes of Target, VF Corporation, Wal-Mart and Gap Inc.
Working groups are now being set up with the European founding partners to develop new systems for garment take-back programs and circular product specifications.
