STOCKHOLM - The H&M Foundation has revealed the five innovative winners of its 2020 Global Change Award who will receive financial support totalling €1 million (US$1.1 million).
They range from lab-grown cotton and creating fabrics from protein DNA, to tracking sustainable fibres by using blockchain technology, wastewater separation and converting carbon dioxide into sustainable polyester.
The non-profit said it felt it was important to continue with its Global Change Awards, now in their fifth year, despite the global impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
