PARIS – Just ten per cent of the collections of some leading fast fashion brands and retailers could be classed as ecologically responsible, according to a new survey.
Fashion analytics experts Retviews, a startup recently acquired by technological solutions provider Lectra, carried out the study to assess whether the market was ready to respond to customers' desires for a more sustainable industry post-pandemic.
It found that eco-friendly collections constituted only a small portion of the ranges offered by leading retailers such as Zara and H&M, which both signed the Fashion Pact during the G7 Summit in Biarritz.
