BRUSSELS – Four members of the technical secretariat developing the European Union's (EU) Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) for apparel and footwear are calling for a review of the proposed method for measuring durability.
The International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO), Confederation of National Associations of Tanners and Dressers of the European Community (COTANCE), European Footwear Confederation (CEC), and International Fur Federation (IFF) say it discriminates against natural fibres.
