SAN FRANCISCO – Denim giant Levi Strauss & Co has published its inaugural climate transition plan, which provides a roadmap to reaching its near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target by 2030 and its goal of being a net zero company by 2050.
Following the announcement in May of its Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)-approved net-zero targets and revised scope 3 emissions goals, the climate transition plan outlines the detailed steps the company says it will take on its own and in collaboration with others, to meet its targets.
