TOKYO – Fastening solutions manufacturer YKK’s emissions reduction targets have been approved as being consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company says the certification is part of its goal to be carbon neutral by 2050 and another example of its long-term commitment to reducing its environment impact.
It is the only zipper manufacturer to have its emissions reduction targets approved by SBTi, a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
