LONDON - The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has unveiled its plans for a major revision to its flagship Corporate Net-Zero Standard which could include the controversial use of carbon credits to offset scope 3 carbon emissions.
SBTi attracted criticism last month after revealing it was looking at extending the use of 'Environmental Attribute Certificates' (EACs), also known as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), in scope 3 - where the bulk of the fashion industry's carbon footprint can be found.
