NANJING - Ultra fast fashion giant Shein has released targets to reduce overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its entire value chain by 25 per cent by the end of the decade.
The world's largest fashion retailer – which launches around 6,000 new products per day – is also publishing details of its emissions inventory for 2021 which will serve as the baseline for achieving its target.
Shein is also committing up to US$7.6 million in funding to the Apparel Impact Institute (Aii), a nonprofit dedicated to decarbonising and modernising the fashion industry supply chain.
