GENEVA – Better Cotton has launched its new Chain of Custody standard that will offer both mass balance and physical chain of custody (CoC) models to support the need for more traceable cotton.
Version 1.0 of the new CoC standard – which replaces the Better Cotton chain of custody guidelines – will be introduced from October 2023 with all suppliers that source mass balance and/or physical Better Cotton needing to adhere to the new standard by May 2025.
