KARACHI - Leading global brands on the steering committee of the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry have confirmed their commitment to a new programme in Pakistan.
H&M, Zara owner Inditex, Bestseller, C&A, PVH Corp, which owns Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, and the Otto Group released a statement encouraging "all brands around the world to sign the Pakistan Accord agreement".
The International Accord, which is backed by 189 global fashion companies and two global trade unions, was set up in 2021 to hold brands accountable for workplace safety in Bangladesh and confirmed plans to expand to Pakistan in December.
