PARIS - The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is inviting banks, corporates and technology companies to help pilot a ground-breaking framework to grade the sustainability of trade transactions in the textiles sector.
It is the first phase of a wider cross-sector exercise to determine whether the different elements of trade transactions are sustainable which follows an extensive global consultation exercise earlier this year.
The framework will work on the basis of a simple matrix to determine whether the different elements of a transaction are sustainable, drawing on readily available data and globally recognised sustainability standards.
