WASHINGTON DC - The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) is calling for the US to allow consumer information on clothes to be delivered via digital labels.
It says digital labels, such as QR codes, would modernise outdated federal regulations, give consumers easy access to more information about the clothes they buy, and help the industry meet its sustainability goals.
AAFA president and CEO Steve Lamar made the call in a letter urging the US Congress to direct the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to allow for mandated digital labelling information on clothes.
