LONDON – British retailers ASOS, Boohoo, Gymshark, The Hut Group, Ocado and AO World have launched a new trade body to support the country’s digital transformation.
The new UK Digital Business Association (UKDBA) says it “will champion the sector” as it adapts to “ever-changing consumer needs”.
Fashion retailers ASOS and Boohoo have gone from strength to strength amidst the pandemic, with shuttered stores leading to a spike in online sales. The six companies backing the initiative expect their growth amidst this unprecedented period to translate into around 10,000 new jobs this year.
