ADELAIDE – Australia’s government has funded the launch of the National Innovation Games, which invites academics, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and students to present solutions that tackle sustainability challenges facing the fashion and textile industries.

More than 200 teams will compete, with a specialist judging panel set to assess entries and select the winners – that’ll earn prizes.

Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Susan Close, commented: With consumers more and more conscious of where and how their clothing is made, it is crucial that South Australia’s fashion industry explores sustainable solutions to keep the sector attractive and profitable. That is why it is wonderful to host an event like the National Innovation Games.”
