NEW DELHI - The IKEA Foundation has gone into partnership with sustainability innovator Enviu and the Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) initiative in a project which aims to build a circular textile waste model in India.
The five-year programme has set itself the ambitious target of creating more than 5,000 green jobs while saving at least 20,000 tonnes of textiles waste from ending up in landfill by 2026.
The IKEA Foundation is funding the initial and seeding phase of the five-year project which will be implemented on the ground as a joint initiative by Enviu and CAIF.
