DHAKA - More leading fashion companies - including Zara owner Inditex, retail giant C&A and Danish retailer Bestseller - have confirmed they have signed up to a new legally binding agreement on workplace safety in Bangladesh.
The International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry will replace the legally binding deal behind the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh when it expires at the end of this month.
The deal was confirmed by the IndustriALL global union, which was involved in the negotations, and Swedish fashion giant H&M, the first brand to reveal it had signed up.
