DHAKA - Campaigners calling for a new legally-binding agreement on workplace safety in Bangladesh's garment industry have published a report which they claim highlights "deadly safety hazards" at factories producing for major apparel brands and retailers.

The report, 'Unfinished Business: Outstanding safety hazards at garment factories', was published by witness signatories to the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.

It highlights "uncorrected safety hazards" at garment factories producing for 12 leading companies covered by the Accord, including H&M, C&A, Bestseller and PVH which owns brands including Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
