AHMEDABAD – Indian apparel manufacturer Arvind has partnered with blockchain solutions specialist Textile Genesis to improve its supply chain transparency.
Textile Genesis’s platform requires stakeholders at each stage of the supply chain to input production data which establishes oversight into proceedings.
Aamir Ahktar, CEO of Arvind, told Denims and Jeans: “There is a clear feedback from consumers that they are looking for transparency in supply chains. They are wary of buying products made from raw materials that originate in conflict zones. This is the reason we have decided to partner with Textile Genesis to offer blockchain-based traceability in our denims.”
