AMSTERDAM - The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) initiative has launched new guidelines for seed producers anxious to prevent GMO contamination of organic cotton.
The OCA says its 'Non-GM Cottonseed Production Guidelines' provide the textile sector with a key tool for safeguarding the integrity of organic cotton at seed level.
They aim to create a standardised industry approach for the production of non-GM seed to improve the integrity of the entire organic cotton value chain from seed to shirt.
