LONDON - Online fashion retailer ASOS has teamed up with delivery company DPD to launch a new textile recycling initiative called ReLove.
Shoppers receiving ASOS parcels via DPD can now use the delivery service's app to select an option to donate unwanted clothing to one of five charities: Scope, Marie Curie, British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross or The Children’s Society.
DPD will then collect the donations at the same time as making the Asos delivery. Donations are taken back to the depot where DPD relabels the goods and sends them on to one of the five charities, free of charge. The charities can then sell the item to raise money.
