GENEVA - The supply chains of eight industries - including fashion - are responsible for more than half of all carbon emissions globally, according to a new study from the World Economic Forum.
The report, Net-Zero Challenge: The supply chain opportunity, published in partnership with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), says tackling supply chain emissions could be a "game changer" against climate change.
Fully decarbonising these supply chains would be achievable at low cost with existing technologies and would add just one to four per cent to the final cost of products to consumers, it says.
