HANOI - Vietnam's rapidly growing industrial economy could make steps towards reducing its damaging impact by adopting China's model of environmental transparency, according to a new report.
Entitled 'A Green Industrial Future - Vietnam's Path to Advanced Environmental Information Disclosure', the report was written by Linda Greer, a senior fellow at the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) non-profit in China.
It says that Vietnam has experienced "extraordinary rapid economic growth" - among the fastest seen in modern times - transforming itself from one of the world’s poorest nations into a strong lower middle-income country.
