GLOBAL – Researchers at the University of Delaware have conducted a 2020 Fashion Industry Benchmarking Study, with 25 US fashion brand executives alluding to the countries that are set to benefit from a boon in business as the world resurfaces post-COVID-19.
More than half of those interviewed say sourcing is likely to remain in South East Asia, with Bangladesh tipped to take the lion’s share of new business in the coming two years.
Both the outbreak of the virus and ongoing trade tensions will see US brands distance themselves from China.
