AMSTERDAM - A coalition of ten international organisations campaigning for better labour conditions for garment workers is calling for urgent action from brands and governments to help vulnerable supply chain workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The groups, Amfori, Better Buying, Fair Labor Association, Fair Wear Foundation, ETI Norway and ETI UK, IDH, the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, Solidaridad and The IRBC Agreement on Sustainable Garments and Textile, have agreed on a shared vision on social protection and responsible business conduct.
In the joint statement, they express deep concern about the health and livelihoods of millions of garment workers and their families.
