DHAKA - Thousands of factories are expected to close their gates in Bangladesh after the country followed India's lead by imposing a nationwide lockdown to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Local authorities have asked citizens in the country to stay indoors, and have banned public transport by road, rail, water and air until at least Saturday 4th April.
It’s not completely clear whether all factories will close of whether there will be any allowance for garment workers to get to and from work.
