LONDON – Womenswear retailer New Look has published a new sustainability strategy and has pledged to become climate positive by 2040.
Another key target for the firm, which considers this strategy to be the continuation of a 20-year journey, is to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the production of its apparel by 50 per cent by 2030.
“As a leading womenswear retailer with a global footprint, acting sustainably has never been more important to us. We are proud of our achievements to date, but our strategy refresh commits to going further and outlines our ambitions for the future,” commented chief executive Nigel Oddy.
