DUBLIN - Retail giant Primark has unveiled a new sustainability strategy which it says will reduce fashion waste, half carbon emissions and improve the lives of the workers who make its products.
The new 10-year strategy includes commitments to ensure all clothes - instead of the current 25 per cent - are made using recycled or more sustainably sourced materials by 2030.
Primark will also make changes to its design process to ensure its clothes can be recycled at the end of their life to help reduce fashion waste and to make them more durable so they last longer.
