LATHAM – Material innovator Primaloft has partnered with environmental organisation Parley for the Oceans to develop insulation made from repurposed plastic bottles found on the coasts of remote islands.
Parley, which has notably collaborated with both Adidas and Stella McCartney to date, has supply chain partners which shred and recapture value from otherwise discarded plastics in the form high performance materials.
“The collaboration with Parley is a perfect match,” said Primaloft CEO Mike Joyce. “We both have the same goals: reducing the plastic pollution on our planet, especially in the oceans.”
